includes word types, noun phrases, conjunctions
A unit which includes a talk for writing style powerpoint, highlighting key features children need to include (lists, possessive apostrophe expanded Noun phrases, different sentence types, suffix endings etc - all colour coded) for the KS1 expectations.
Word mats are supplied at the 3 levels to support children's writing. This unit firstly covers learning the story (a version I have re-written myself to suit the learning needs of my class) where children become familiar with the grammar and spellings within the story and write it out. Then, as they move to innovating the text they will change an element of it, moving on to creating their own story for assessed write by changing more than 1 element of the story and thereby creating a new one.
.
Colour coding refers to the colours used within the Talk for Writing Presentation and how you can use this to aid teaching SPAG.
