WW1 Descriptive Writing for KS3
A lesson using a series of images from WW1 to practise and apply descriptive writing skills. Sentence frames are included and extension tasks are included. Suitable for a mixed ability Year 8 class or a higher ability Year 7 group. Can be used as a standalone lesson or as part of a SoW. Has been modified to suit online learning but can easily be adapted for the classroom.

The Yellow Wallpaper IB Concepts and Analysis Lesson
Two lessons that practice identifying and applying IB concepts to The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman.
These activities were originally used as bridging lessons between IGCSE and IB courses and would suit students beginning English: Language A courses. Prior awareness of how to analyse texts and literary techniques is assumed.
