Rainforest Setting Descriptions
Linked to the New National Curriculum English and Grammar outcomes for end of KS2 so suited to year 5 or 6 but there is also another WAGOLL included to suit Year 3 or 4. The WAGOLL allows children to see the language and text features suited to this style of writing. They can discuss the impact and see higher level vocabulary being used. There is also an activity attached where there are paragraphs to suit settings - children improve them using the WAGOLL. Included in the WAGOLL’s are Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 spellings.

Year 6 Simplifying Fractions lesson with answers

This task is designed to be suitable for different abilities - the green task is for fluency (stage 1), the orange is to show understanding/problem solving/reasoning (stage 2) and the red is for problem solving/reasoning linked to application in different contexts (the mastery/above) skills (stage 3). All answers are included. The children do the task linked to their ability but the previous task (skill) can be used to guide and scaffold learning of lower ability groups.
