Speak, Write and Play In Urdu - Learning Urdu The Fun Way! 250+ Worksheets To Try!

Are you learning Urdu? Are you looking for a fun way to learn Urdu? I have developed a way to learn different languages based on my experience as an ESL teacher. This pack has 57 different settings for students to talk about in Urdu. The worksheets themselves are in English and the students do need to translate the places and objects they see into Urdu. At the end of the session, the students can play a fun game of word bingo to show they have mastered that day's vocabulary. Try it, it is a lot of fun for everyone! * Please note - these resources provide visual prompts, not specific language instruction. Urdu Bingo pack: This is a simple starter game for students. There are 114 different pictures to choose from. Select a single picture and project the image on the wall or share it with the class as a handout. Let's Talk in Urdu!: This set of cards looks at 57 different settings. The teacher describes something in the top card. The students then use this to model a sentence using the bottom set of pictures. There are lots of things to see and describe in every picture. When the students have completed this task, they can repeat it by working in pairs to discuss each picture. Let's Write in Urdu pack: There are lots of ways of using this teaching pack. It could be used as writing assessment for students learning Urdu. The students could write about a topic in Urdu before and then after a topic, using the second worksheet at the end of the topic.

Entry Level Big Grammar Book 101 worksheets for English lessons featuring Essential English worksh

It’s jam-packed from cover to cover with a great selection of photocopiable worksheets taken from the popular website. We wanted to provide teachers with a really useful book of no-nonsense grammar worksheets that they can dip into and use in class with students at Entry Level (ESOL Core Curriculum Entry Levels 1 & 2). It is also ideal for students to work with at home since the answers are all printed at the back. The book is divided into four parts and is graded in difficulty, so that it begins with some basic stuff and builds up to more challenging grammar activities. It features a selection of Essential English worksheets which provide practice for crucial basic areas of knowledge for learners at Entry Level, like using numbers, writing the alphabet, spelling days and months correctly, and so on.

Big Grammar Book 2 - 101 worksheets for English lessons for Elementary Level (A1 / A2)

(1)
, BGB 2 is packed with 101 printable worksheets for teaching and improving grammar skills in English. The topics are wide and varied, starting with Essential English worksheets that cover the basics, like the alphabet, days, months, and telling the time; then tenses (a lot about tenses!), then irregular verbs, question forms, word order in sentences, parts of English, uncountable nouns, and so on! If you have used the first BGB, you will know what to expect from this one. Around 25% of the worksheets in this book are closely modelled on activities in BGB 1, for example Full Stops 1 & 2 (pp.68-69). The material starts off at beginner level, with the alphabet worksheets, then gets progressively more difficult, while staying in Elementary (A1 / A2) level. Only towards the end do things get “tougher”, with articles, conditionals, and phrasal verbs making their inevitable appearance! Don’t worry – all the answers and notes for use are included at the back of this book. English teachers can use big grammar book 2 in class, although it may be better to use the worksheets for homework and let students focus on speaking and listening and group work – producing language – in class. It is ideal for private study – i.e. homework or self-study – and also for use in online lessons. Teachers can adapt the worksheets in this book, and I would positively encourage them to treat many of the pages as templates for producing their own activities. For example, the sentence building worksheets (from p.60) would be ideal for adaptation, among many others. I hope you enjoy learning English with big grammar book 2! Remember, a good understanding of English grammar will open doors of opportunity.

Big ESL Activity Book 95 worksheets - Intermediate / Level 1

Calling all Active English Learners . . . ! Welcome to the English big activity book . The aim this time is to engage learners from about Level 1 (Intermediate) upwards in active English lessons. This extensive new collection provides a varied and interesting set of resources for practising a range of English language skills, from grammar to reading, and vocabulary building to developing research skills. It’s divided into subject areas and there is a comprehensive answer section, which also gives notes for how to use the material. We have included two special sections towards the back of the book. The first is a collection of classroom games that have been tried and tested and really work. Some may be familiar while others are totally original. In publishing descriptions of these games and activities we are not in any way laying claim to having invented them. Our only aim is to disseminate ideas that work well at a range of levels and always seem to get a great response from learners. The second special section is for reference and lists rhyming words, using the vowels and diphthongs from the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). These pages provide support for learners as they come to identify spelling patterns and match together words with the sounds of English. However you use the book, we hope that you’ll enjoy learning English and come to a deeper understanding and appreciation of this fabulous language – which can be so entirely frustrating at times and so difficult to learn! Hope you really enjoy this book.

Walk to School Week Conversation Starter

I love to get the students really talking about an issue. I saw another teacher do it and thought that this looks really effective. My Walk to School Week teaching resources are designed to get the students to think about why we should walk to school, what are the alternatives and the benefits and the costs of walking to school using different modes of transport. They are also designed to get students really talking, listening and expressing their own ideas. My teaching resources could be printed out and made into an eye catching, thought provoking display or used as a whole class discussion stimulus. I am now making a new series of resources like this, so that teachers and students can get a lot more out of every lesson.

I have used a wide range of inspirations to create a fun conversation starting lesson about Christian Aid week. This lesson looks at different issues which may be covered in Christian Aid week such as what is war, what is peace, what is a home and how we can help our fellow man, woman and child. I have started using conversation starters in my own lessons with great effect and I think you will also enjoy using them in your own lessons. As stated in the presentation, while these resources will help you present your Christian Aid week lessons in class, I have no connection with Christian Aid.
