Designed to be followed by Italian Passato Prossimo Practice - Lesson and worksheet 2 of 2.
Excellent resource, adored by students, to track and chart progress. Set up to be used for grammar ('er', 'ir', 're', modal verbs and so on), but can be adapted to suit any learning objectives.
Students are assigned a character and given a grid at the start of term, or half-term, depending on how many objectives you wish to cover.
After each objective has been covered, they circle the traffic light for that square to represent their confidence and understanding - green for very confident, amber for okay but a little unsure, and red if they feel they still don't understand.
Very useful for teacher to glance over, to set activities in class as groups, or differentiated homework / prep. A fabulous insight into the progress of students individually and as a class that is subtle and fun for them.
In my experience they are very honest too as only they and you see the grid, rather than asking for thumbs or coloured cards to be held up in class.
Differentiated crossword for part-time jobs, linking to GCSE module of Education, Work and Future plans. Suitable also for HA KS3. Excellent starter or plenary. Fully animated with all answers.
French Facebook Profile template. Excellent resource, perfect for students to display information about themselves. Can be printed and used as a worksheet or worked on electronically and printed for a great display.
Set up for KS2 / KS3 'Je me présente' module but can easily be adapted. Used successfully with KS4 to discuss healthy lifestyles and KS5 to display opinions on global warming and environmental challenges. A huge time saver!
Three pages of French vocabulary for classroom objects. Size 50 text and neatly arranged into boxes to print, laminate and blu-tack to different areas of classroom.
Excellent for support during lessons that are taught in target language (provides reference for example for the request 'Ferme la porte s'il te plaît'), and also broadens linguistic horizons of learners being surrounded by TL in normal classroom.
Can also be used as an activity for younger learners. Students in pairs or in small groups are given five minutes to translate and categorise words (lots of possibilities - by gender, by objects that touch the floor etc.). Excellent to generate discussion regarding articles and difference between French and English. Students then timed to carefully and silently blu-tack correct label (without referring to translation) to correct part of classroom.
Each team starts on 10 points. 5 points awarded for each correct, careful and silent placement of word. 30 bonus points awarded for the quietest and most sensible team. Share points system and Success Criteria, and ask students to generate their own rules to manage game before beginning (for example remember to walk not run).

Emphasis on fun, independent learning.
Students are asked to match Italian Easter vocabulary to the English equivalents to begin, then repeat the words after the teacher (create a team points game from this activity if you wish with actions). Students are then asked to match a phrase to the correct image, using letter cards or by writing a letter on a whiteboard.
A reading text then follows, with questions linked to Easter celebrations and traditions in Italy.
At the end of the lesson, a Pictionary slide is set up to review learning, and also an Easter Egg Hunt game, whereby if students answer questions correctly, they can choose a square to hunt for 15 golden eggs.
