This useful product analysis tool can be used for a variety of technology based subjects including Design Technology & Engineering. Is is useful at all Key Stages. These nets can assembled by pupils or before hand by teachers and used as a reminder of the ACCESS FM Product Analysis tool. This can be useful when writing specifications of analysing existing products. A colourful 3D display that can be placed on a desk or work bench, to remind pupils of ACCESS FM. This pack also includes larger templates which can be glued together to make an even bigger display. There are two file types available and can be easily edited to ensure that it is suitable for your subject/specification.

ACCESS FM Kagan Quiz Quiz Trade Activity - Product Analysis/ Design Specification Tool

This activity could be used to support a product analysis tasks or a start helping pupils to learn about ACCESS FM. All you need to do is cut out the front and back of the cards, stick them together and laminate! Kagan structures are a novel way of improving engagement in the classroom, rules of the activity are included in the resource. Quiz Quiz Trade Rules: Each pupil receives one card. The card has a question and an answer on it. Teacher says ‘stand up, hand up, pair up’ With card in hand pupil stands up finds another pupil and the pair high five! They then put hands down so other pupils can find a pair. Partner A asks Partner B the question. If Partner B answers correct Partner A praises them If they answer incorrectly, Partner A teaches them the answer. Partner B then asks their question to Partner A. Once complete they thank each other, swap cards and then move on to find a new partner. Alternatively pupils could use the cards to ask themselves or other about a given product. This work booklet allow pupils to evidence practical work for unit two of the WJEC Vocational Award in Engineering. This has been adapted from the exemplar material provided on the WJEC website. Unit Two requires pupils to produce an engineering product (such as a lamp) from drawings produced by the centre. If you have access to computers the template can be easily edited in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat or Powerpoint. If you don’t have computers you can always edit and then print in A3. Centres should adapt this booklet to suit their own assignments.

This is a set of two mock exams and mark schemes that are designed to test pupils knowledge after the teaching of Unit One. The mocks cover criteria from PO1 - PO5. The mocks have been built on past papers and mark allocations from AQA. The majority of the questions are different to the past papers available form AQA. They could be used as end of topic assessments, end of term assessment or as a resource for exam style questions. They have been designed to look professional and as similar to the real exam as possible to get pupils used to seeing the exam. The documents were created on Word for Mac so the format may need tweaking if opened on a PC, however the PDF files are also available. These mocks & mark schemes will save you hours of planning!
