The lessons use the context of ballet/swan lake and the physics behind the ‘fouette’ performed by the Black Swan during the performance. The lesson also looks at moments of inertia, comparisons between angular and linear momentum and calculations involving angular rotational momentum.

This booklet was designed for biology students to complete during the Christmas holidays; a “12 days of Christmas” booklet with tasks and exam practise on the different areas within the “Exchange with the Environment” topic of AQA AS Biology. The booklet is designed as a revision booklet for student to recap their learning but it can easily be changed into an in-lesson learning booklet to support teaching materials. There are tasks for each day staring with the 25th December. (!) As mentioned before, there is lots of necessary exam practise with challenging application-style questions. The booklet was given to students on the last day of term, wrapped up as a present! Students were instructed to open this on Christmas. What a great present! Please do download and review :)
