Grouping Landforms
A lower junior level worksheet where students cut and paste 7 different landforms on to a recording sheet. The recording sheet has 4 different landform types that the 7 landforms can be sorted into.
A good hands-on resource following on from discussions about the different classifications of landform types.

Rotate a shape a Half Turn around a Point
Two worksheets for students to practice working with the rotation concept.
The idea here is rotating a shape a half turn around a point. There are 6 exercises on each sheet, graduating in difficulty. Sheet two is slightly more challenging than sheet 1.
Answer sheets are included.
Debugging with Scratch, using Repeat
Debugging is an essential skill in the digital curriculum for 21st Century learners.
Debugging is the ability to identify where instructions have gone wrong and correct them - problem solving for the 21st Century learner!
This resource has 3 problem cards of basic Scratch code, each containing one error for students to ‘debug’ and fix so that the code performs the correct task.
These do not require a device or the internet to solve, but going online to check if the solution works is advantageous.

Describing 2D and 3D shapes
A worksheet for students to assign the correct labels for describing 2D and a 3D shapes.
Can be completed individually or in pairs.
Good for a quick diagnostic of mathematical language knowledge in describing 2D and 3D shapes.
Body Systems
An activity to prompt or reflect on learning about body systems (digestive, circulatory, respiratory and nervous).
This activity includes a recording sheet, a sheet of body part labels to cut and glue on to the recording sheet and a teacher note sheet.
Ideal for small groups.

Success Mountain
Success Mountain is an A3 sized poster for displaying aspirational achievement in student work and effort. These can be laminated and displayed. They are great to reference students to. Student names can be added to the stage they have achieved.

A hands on activity for 1st and 2nd grade students. Students work with the concept of a half and a quarter and cut and paste representations of each.
Fractions of Whole Shapes for Juniors
A brilliant resource for supporting, consolidating and assessing a student’s understanding of halves and quarters.
Fractions for Juniors - Thirds
A hands on activity for 1st and 2nd grade students. Students work with the concept of a third and cut and paste representations of a third.
Students place and glue half and quarter shapes to fill whole shape on a recording sheet.
In this resource are two recording sheets (one with guidelines and one without) and 4 sheets of cut out shapes. These 4 offer different levels of difficulty from simple halves only, to mixed sheets of halves and quarters, and finally a sheet of quarters only.

An excellent resource to check understanding of basic the fractions Half, Quarter and Third.
The resource is best used after students have been learning about and working with each of the three fractions.
This is a hands-on cut and paste activity where junior students can practice and demonstrate their understanding of these three fractions.
Using the Words of Probability
Have students become familiar with words to use in describing degrees of probability.
This is a single worksheet where students place 5 words describing the probability of an outcome of a dice roll. Then they explain the reasoning for giving an answer to the last question.
The five words used in this resource are; Impossible, Poor, Equal, Good and Certain.
Coding for Juniors - Using Scratch Jr, making turns, with 1 block too many Challenge
Coding is an essential skill in the digital curriculum for 21st Century learners.
Coding is the ability to create instructions that allow a set of actions to be carried out.
This resource gives an opportunity to expose junior students to the world of coding using the user friendly coding app Scratch Jr.
The resource doesn’t require a device or access to the internet. Students can cut and past the missing pieces of code into a command to achieve the desired outcome on the worksheet. The focus of this activity is being able to work out the correct right hand turn at the correct point.
The extra challenge with this activity is that there is an extra superfluous block which students need to decide is not needed to complete the code.
The resource has 2 activity sheets (2 levels of difficulty with the same task), answer sheet and teacher notes.

The challenge here is working out the digits under the splotches to make the equation correct.
When I printed these off at home to proof-read before I knew it my own children were sitting at the kitchen table working them out.
Practice, maintenance and mastery of adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers will allow for a smoother transition to 3 digit addition and subtraction.

These are worksheets that provide students an opportunity to practice two geometric transformation skills – reflection and resizing (Scale Factor, enlargement).

Thanksgiving Binary Number 8x8 Grid Puzzles - 8 puzzles, no Prep, answers.
A quick, ready to go, little instruction required math activity.

Present Numeral Cards to 25, classroom resource and clipart
This is a set of numeral cards on colorful present images. They were initially created by me for advent activities, but they have extensive uses as a math resource in the classroom.
This resource includes a set of numeral cards and also a set of clipart images of the cards that can be used to create your own resources.
You may already have an excellent range of uses for this set of numeral cards. Below are a number of suggested uses of these numeral cards.

Thanksgiving Agamograph, 11 pages, video
Agamographs provide a fun unique way of viewing art.
This resource is a fun hands-on Thanksgiving activity that combines two separate images into one are piece, which the viewer can then see – from different angles - each picture independently.
This activity involves coloring-in, cutting, gluing and folding. You will require; coloring-in materials (pencils, felts, etc), scissors, glue-sticks.
This resource has two Thanksgiving images (a Pilgrim hat and Mayflower ship) to put together and create the agamograph.
There are two levels of challenge;
the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for the hat and 4 strips for the ship)
the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for the hat and 8 strips for the ship)
I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.
This resource also has a short stopmotion video demonstrating the construction of the agamograph. Note: this is my first ever TES video and while the quality is not blockbuster material, it does show how the art is made.
Geometry Transformations for Juniors, Translation, Rotation, Reflection, answers
A simple worksheet activity for early elementary, junior students to demonstrate their understanding of the three basic geometric transformations - translation, rotation and reflection.
This could be used as a formative or summative assessment task, a follow-up lesson activity or a math center activity.
When I have used this resource, it has engaged my students and shown how well they have understood these concepts.
