The two sources are: an extract from Mandela’s autobiography and entries from a young Jews diary during WWII. If you want a format which you can edit, please email me at rosiekelly343@gmail.com .

This resource gears GCSE students up for English Literature Paper 1. The handout takes them through how to plan for the essay with a clear example given, as well as how to write a good analytical paragraph, also with an example. If the students plan and develop a paragraph for all the questions then this will be a complete lesson. There is an option at the end for the students to write a timed essay in 50 minutes - maybe homework or follow-up lesson? The handout is in word so can be easily edited. Hope this helps!
