Useful for improving numeracy of students; task is to count the amount of accents, find the bar of a certain word, count the beats of a certain syllable etc. Handy to use as a starter to introduce the new work. Lots of other items can be added.

Presentation of all the Area of Study 2 and 4 pieces and their elements e.g. Koko rhythm, Reich dynamics, Capercaillie background etc. Press F5 to start the presentation - the slides whizz through - then press 's&' to stop the slides flipping through - students then have x amount of time to write down as much information/talk about the topic etc.

A range of activities for my Year 8 form to teach them about what the Chancellor does, what are his responsibilities, and for students to work out what they would rank as the most important area for investment to be made e.g. health, education, transport, housing etc. Students then have the chance to work out how much of the budget they would spend on different areas, what the effects of cuts would be and to see the sharing of England's revenue for the 2012 Budget.
