The use of Street Child , the book , is used in these lesson as. The lessons focus are to: -to plan and then write a diary of child living in a workhouse - 3 lessons -to plan and write a report on the workhouses - 5 lessons Each of the lessons has a starter , main activity and modelling and plenaries. All the learning is conducted through a range of activities from group work, visuals and videos. The starters are sometimes linked to the writing genre and some are grammar starters for the lessons.
