I am a Science Teacher with 25 years experience and love producing resources. As one of my HoD's remarked "Your lesson plans and resources are outstanding, if only you could teach as good as your resources." Chemistry is my main subject, but have an interest in Pedagogy, especially CASE (Cognitive Acceleration through Science Education) and misconceptions and how to overcome them.

I have now added a sheet explaining how this can be done at home by students themselves.

This is a bundle of three required practicals (or nine for £5 see below) that can be done at home (with adult permission/supervision) for this time during lockdown to help during this time (Chromatography, Reaction Time and Specific Heat Capacity). It includes all the necessary information, worksheets and powerpoints for students (all files are included in pdf format for easier home access).

This lesson guides students through how to convert a circuit diagram of a series or parallel circuit into a built one. It starts with circuit symbols, then step by step it shows using photographs how circuits are built from diagrams.
This resource contains:
40+ slide powerpoint with quizzes on symbols and plenary quiz on recognising series and parallel circuits along with photographs and instructions on how to build each circuit
Worksheets with circuit diagrams and photographs
Information sheet for learning the circuit symbols
( I designed this lesson because I and my students wasted a lot of time trying to build more complicated circuits to measure voltage and current-so hopefully time spent here will save time later in other lessons).
I will be publishing more resources on electricity, but in the meantime, if you want a free animation on electricity to help click here:

This is a KS4 AQA Physics GCSE revision set of worksheets which aims to reinforce what the students have done, through questions, calculations and written planning. It is used after the practical to check students understanding as a plenary/revision/homework sheet.
It contains all the Physics Required Practicals in pdf form:
Specific Heat Capacity, Force and Extension, Acceleration, Waves, Density, I V Characteristics, Light, Radiation and Absorption, Resistance and Thermal Insulation.
This has been updated (now with grades on the sheet so you can see the demand of each individual question) with model answers.

I have now added a sheet explaining how this can be done at home by students themselves.
This KS4 Biology resource is a two lesson resource containing a ppt to take students all the way through the Osmosis Required Practical. It includes a student worksheet (blank one and one with model answers) and 9-1 graded exam style questions with model answers adapted from AQA past papers to test their learning. It is the complete package for the osmosis required practical.
This resource comes with:
32 ppt slide to project in lessons
Word and pdf versions of the students sheet and question sheets.
Answer sheets to allow the students to self or peer assess.
Each sheet assesses student’s skills in interpreting the data, remembering the Health and Safety and suggesting ways of improving the experiment. Key concepts covered are variables, types of errors, risk assessment etc Questions have been adapted from AQA past paper questions to help the students become familiar with the type and style of questions asked. Each question slide has Blooms Style Learning Objectives for whole class focused learning.
On the top right hand corner of the sheet the students can identify areas where they need to improve so that teachers can easily see which section they are having trouble with.
