Power and Conflict - Final preparation for the 2025 Exam - Remains

(0)
This is a full lesson based on two questions from AQA’s English Literature paper 2- one based on Power and Conflict - Remains by Simon Armitage. There is a quick ‘do now’ activity and a model what/how/why paragraph based on the question. This is very useful for revision, that also looks in depth at the park scheme and indicative comment. I’ve used it recently and have told my Year 11s and they responded really well to the lesson.

Updated 2025: This is a knowledge orgainser for the poem ‘England to Her Sons’ by WN Hodgson. This is a part of the ‘Up the Line to Death’ poetry anthology that is used for the AQA A-level English Literature paper ‘WW1 and its Aftermath’ Option 3 which is compared to ‘The Wipers Times’ by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman. It’s an excellent resource for revision and has been used several times by myself.
