Lesson originally designed to introduce future tense to Y8 but could be adapted for other year groups. Links in with the topic of free time. Includes mini-whiteboard activity where pupils identify the tense of the verb (present or near future), game of battleships and extension activity (reading comprehension).

Two lessons on one Powerpoint. Lesson 1 - introduction to items of furniture. Includes lots of consolidation of sentence structure. Lesson 2 - looks at prepositions enabling pupils to give a detailed desciption of their bedroom.

Lesson on the near future tense designed as a follow on from introductory lesson. Mini whiteboard activity to re-cap how to form the future tense, what an infinitive verb is etc, dictionary skills task to look up useful infinitive verbs and a worksheet activity. Worksheet to re-inforce formation of the near future tense. Pupils translate sentences then using the help sheet (page 2) write some sentences of their own using the near future tense. Compliments lesson of same title.

Lesson on making arrangements to go out. Looks at asking and answering questions, agreements / disagreements, grammar points such as 'a la' and 'al'. Nice running dictation game to consolidate and mini whiteboard activities. Opportunities for speaking and peer assessment also provided.

Follow lesson from Mon Petit Déjeuner which looks at the use of DU / DE LA / DES and present tense of MANGER / BOIRE / PRENDRE.

Powerpoint in German to introduce pets.

Worksheet activity to consolidate the use of prepositions, compliments Powerpoint lesson. Pupils match expressions in Spanish and English then complete the sentences with the missing preposition. Extension provided for the more able - write three of their own original sentences using prepositions.

Powerpoint lesson to introduce items of clothing to talk about what pupils wear to school but could be adapted to look at clothes in general. Also looks at agreement of adjectives (colours).

Pupils are put into groups and are given the first 4 questions. They must find the answers to all four questions before they get given the next set. Works well as a running dictation style activity where the texts are stuck on the wall outside the classroom and team members take it in turns to go out and find the answers. Feel free to amend, adapt or correct this free resource!

Lesson to re-cap clothes. Originally created for Y9 group but could easily be adapted for other classes. A variety of activities including match up / translations / re-inforcement of indefinite and definite article / present tense of AR verbs (llevar) / translation game and homework activity.
