A fun, British History-themed escape room, which is perfect as a last lesson before Christmas or as educational end of term fun for any history class. This has been created for secondary students and covers a wide range of British History topics. It is filled with codes, puzzles and activities to engage students in the last lessons of term as they work in groups or ‘escape crews’ to escape the room that they have been locked in by Henry VIII!
Includes answers for every mystery and puzzle (see the notes attached in the PowerPoint) and answer slides. Please see each slide’s notes for answers. The chart question’s answer is up to the teacher for the best justification.

Leadership of Churchill lesson - A detailed and well-differentiated, editable history lesson all about how Churchill was far more than a one-dimensional character who lead the allies to victory. This lesson allows students to investigate to what extent Churchill was a ‘hero’ or a ‘villain’ by evaluating his policies, successes and failures.
This lesson investigates the strengths and weaknesses of Churchill as a politician and was created for Year 9 but could be used for other years as it’s all editable - it’s full of exam-style GCSE practice questions.

A detailed and well-differentiated, editable history lesson all about the turbulent religious changes during Tudor Times, from the Reformation to the rule of Elizabeth I. The lesson sees students discover the main changes made by each monarch, explore why and then ends in an extended literacy task - answering an test question on religious turmoil during the 16th Century. The students then peer assess using marking grid and feedback sheet (all included).

KS3 Geography lesson all about non-renewable energy and the problems extracting this is causing to the environment. There is a focus on the pertinent issue of fracking and the damage this can potentially do as well as the arguments on the other side citing the advantages.

This lesson can be used as part of our Cold War topic which also includes: Atomic bomb, Salami Tactics, Berlin Blockade and Vietnam. These are available individually or as a bundle.
Focusing on Al Qaeda, the Twin Towers terrorism plot of 9/11 and the London Bombings of 7/7.
