(CSSE 2008 Q16) Whilst under copyright rules I would not be able to share the original CSSE 2008 maths paper questions, looking at easier versions of the questions helps students’ learn how to answer the questions and build their understanding and skills gradually. The CSSE is a higher level 11+ paper. A CSSE style 11+ English comprehension paper, with the text taken from Castle Gay a book by John Buchan. This version is a version modelled on the CSSE 2024 english paper which includes 40 marks for the comprehension (the VR is now not part of the grammar school consortium test). This is a paper which has been used to support our own 11+ students preparing for the CSSE exams in the past. (Mock paper 8 from the 2024 series.) It is a FULL english paper (1 hour paper plus 10 minutes reading time) which includes a comprehension and the continuous writing section. Answers are included.
