In depth look at the 4 mark contrast/ similar questions I used lots of documents off the AQA website to support ie: the teachers guide/ keywords etc. You may need to download these to support the lessons yourself. These lessons could be adapted to any topic you teach.

Outcomes To describe why marriage is important in Christianity To explain how the marriage ceremony reflects the purpose of marriage To evaluate why different groups of Christians have different attitudes to marriage A lesson with a variety of independent activities to discuss and summarise the Christian attitude to the purpose of marriage. The lesson finished with an exam question plenary

Outcomes: To describe why Muslims choose to get married To explain what happens in a Muslim marriage ceremony and how it reflects the values of marriage This lesson comes with an information sheet and students can use page 62 of the OXFORD textbook to design a leaflet that looks at the purpose of marriage.

This lesson supports the OXFORD textbook page 60-61. Slides on the PowerPoint can be printed as worksheets. Suggested clips are included. Reflection and discussion activities throughout. The lesson also looks at a 4 mark contrast question. This lesson looks at divorce and remarraige in Islam and then ends with a 12 mark question for students to complete that asks students to consider the Christian attitudes explored in the previous lesson. The lesson comes complete with worksheets to support the teaching of this topic
