It opens by considering a simple alternator as a means of generating electricity. It then goes on to discuss transformers and the transformer equation including how to derive the transformer equation from Faraday’s law and the power equation. It discusses ways of investigating transformers and can act as an introduction to Physics PAG 11.1. The lesson closes by considering transformers in the national grid and at home. It starts by introducing the decay equation with worked examples before outlining how dice simulation can be used to model nuclear decay. A full lesson revising content from the AQA Biology module- bioenergetics. This lesson covers photosynthesis and is suitable for both trilogy and the Biology science GCSE. The lesson starts by revising the reactants for photosynthesis and the equation along with the uses of glucose. It then has a quick summary activity before looking at leaf structure. The lesson then moves on to limiting factors with a series of data based activities. In between this the lesson looks at the required practical and covers the method as well as some extension questions.
