It goes through how the resting potential is maintained as well as the changes that occur during an action potential. It then goes on to cover how action potentials are propagated along the membrane as well as a reminder about saltatory conductions via nodes of Ranvier. The lesson opens by considering the use of a pH meter to track a neutralisation reaction. This also includes data for plotting a pH curve. It then moves on to looking at the end point of a titration as well as the equivalence point. It explains the colour change that occurs at the end point and why it happens. A full lesson revising content from the AQA Biology module- bioenergetics. This lesson covers photosynthesis and is suitable for both trilogy and the Biology science GCSE.
The lesson starts by revising the reactants for photosynthesis and the equation along with the uses of glucose. It then has a quick summary activity before looking at leaf structure. The lesson then moves on to limiting factors with a series of data based activities.
