This is a comprehensive guide, booklet and aid to learn about and perhaps revise cinematoography. With over 60 pages of content with and around 17,000 words, you’ll not find a guidebook, resource or textbook that is as detailed, as insightful or as adaptable as this.
If you’d like to take a look at every page of this resource please look at my Profile on here and follow the link to my SlideShare account OR Google Ian Moreno-Melgar+SlideShare and take at look at my ‘DOCUMENTS’ page.
The booklet is separated into the generally regarded aspects of cinematography including shot size, camera angle, camera movement, light and colour but also includes detailed explorations of other aspects.
Each section includes detailed explanations, expert analysis and insight, dozens of tasks, dozens of images, links to hundreds of videos on YT and assessments.
Your download will consist of an editable Microsoft Word version and a HQ PDF version for you to print whatever pages may be relevant to you and your needs.
This is also a great resource to copy information from and then paste into whatever work you need to set or deliver. This means that you can use this electronic text book as a guide for you as the teacher, as a resource for students to use in the classroom, to be broken up and used as individual worksheets, for revision, for homework, for remote learning or for students who are self-isolating and unable to be in lessons in person.
Written by an experienced teacher, examiner and CPD presenter with extensive experience in writing guides for film studies, I guarantee that this resource will prove to be an invaluable tool for you and your students and worth every penny.

This resource is an mp3 file where I comment, analyse and generally talk a lot whilst watching a film from the Eduqas GCSE Film Studies specification, ATTACK THE BLOCK.
As part of the GCSE, the focus of this film is on the style of the film and how it looks, so I watch and make reference to films that were an influence on the making of and the overall style of the film with ideas coming commentaries on the DVD and interviews from the Director Joe Cornish, information and ideas from the cast and crew and my own personal interpretation.
So, what is this download? Well, it’s an mp3 file of me talking over the film. There is a bit of waffle for the first couple of minutes and then over an hour of me watching the film and talking about it. Ideally then, have a copy of the film ready and to hand so that you can watch as I chat, and be prepared for me talking at 1000mph, but hopefully with some interesting insights, analysis and opinions on a whole range of things.
