Edexcel ALevel Core Values of Socialism for Politics This lesson examines the core values underpinning Socialism as an ideology with some links to key thinkers and examples. Lesson 2 of my Socialism unit for Alevel. This lesson includes a range of resources including video clips to demonstrate the key ideas. This lessons should take 2-4 hours depending if you get students to do the Core Values independently and then go over it all to explain it after wards. I use both the Heywood and Pearson book for doing Core Values to give students for reading but if you have neither- a detailed summary of all ideas is contained on these slides.

OCR ALevel History Russia 1894-1941 Topic 2: Towards a Constitutional Monarchy. This two hour lesson examines the creation of the Duma from the October Manifesto and the limits of the Fundamental laws. Also examines the challenges of the Duma and the makeup of them and why Nicholas dissolved them each time. Includes detailed information and all resources needed if you do not have textbook pages from Corin and Fiehn- I have typed up all necessary info onto documents to accompany the lesson.

Includes a time saving mock feedback sheet for the 2021 paper 3 exam and Model answers for the 2021 Germany paper 3 for Edexcel Two versions 1 for grade 7-9 students and another for grade 4-6 (and below!) students. This lesson was designed as an introduction to US Politics but can also be used as a Historical overview for studying the History of the USA in depth- can be used as a first lesson to build a big picture narrative of the USA and why it remains so divided today. This lesson is a fun and unusual way of introducing the great powers in 1900 and getting pupils to think about International Relations. I took the idea from a version of this at my training school but this is 100% my own version of it with added ridiculousness. It is by far the best introduction to International Relations for KS3 I have ever done. I’ve also used it for Year 10 studying International Relations pre WWI and it worked very well. Edexcel Component 1 Lesson 2 Representative vs Direct Democracy Lesson on the features and benefits and drawbacks of Representative and Direct Democracy looking at the UK and referendums but also includes comparative analysis of Switzerland. Includes powerpoint and all worksheets needed for teaching an outstanding lesson. Edexcel exam board but can be used for AQA also.

Includes a huge range of worksheets for teaching the Plains Natives and the impact of white settlement on their culture. I have also included the lessons but these are mainly smart notebook files so they may not work for you if you do not have the software to open therefore I am only charging for the worksheets as these all did take a long time to make! Looking at the Short and Long term impact of the Harrying of the North- colour code exercise. Includes everything you need, no need for a textbook.

Lesson for Edexcel Politics ALevel Introduction and Overview to Feminism lessons- this is a double lesson plus note making for homework on Feminism and its development over time. Begins with looking at issues facing women in the 21st century e.g. female genital mutilation, rape and sexual assault, gender pay gap, violence against women and girls etc- students discuss and swap articles and then the lesson develops from there. Introduces some of the key thinkers e.g. Perkins-Gillman, Wollstonecraft and Friedan as well as Bell Hooks.

Edexcel GCSE Medicine Through Time This lesson looks at causes of/ symptoms of ill health and injuries in the trenches linked to weapons studied in lesson 1-- Battles. This source based lessons has students looking at evidence / information to find out about specific illlness/ injuries and the issues around it. Also has a match up exercise on who treated the sick? RAMC and FANYs looking at their roles on the Western front. Includes a retrieval quiz for the battles of WWI

Edexcel ALevel Politics USA Politics Includes retrieval task to sort formal and informal powers of Presidency and a detailed breakdown of US Informal and formal powers of the POTUS. Examines the role of the US Vice President and US Cabinet (updated as of 2024) includes examination of Trump and Biden CAbinet and covers the nature and powers of the Cabinet as well as other basics e.g. frequency of meetings etc. Includes a picture sheet of the Biden Cabinet and two brief video tasks (youtube links included on slides). I have also included some similarities and differences to UK Cabinet for analysis as we go but have a comparative lesson at the end of the topic.

Edexcel GCSE History 9-1 Weimar and Nazi Germany This lesson looks at the Lean Years following the Munich Putsch and the way in which the Nazis reorganised including the development of new branches of the party e.g. women and young people and the development of the SS as a foil to the SA. Also includes the Bamberg Conference and the battle between Socialist and Nationalist factions within the party. Includes retrieval tasks on 25 point programme and the impact of the Munich Putsch
