This set of resources includes 2x PPTs which can be delivered over 3 lessons (over 60 slides of engaging and interactive learning) and 3x word files consisting of exam practice questions and an activity.
Learners are introduced to mission statements and how they differ from vision statements, we then focus on corporate objectives, internal and external influences on them before looking at functional objectives. We wrap this up with a nice visual of how the mission flows down to the functional objectives. Difference between strategy and tactics is looked at.
The second powerpoint introduces learners to the value of a SWOT analysis. We start by looking at what a SWOT analysis is and the types of questions we need to ask ourselves to find out our SWOT. We then contextualise with a few activities and examples such as Mcdonald’s, Thornton’s and a brief sorting activity with Apples SWOT.
We then go on to look at a concise case study on BHP the large mining company, students can work in pairs or a group to assess the companies position using SWOT, the outcomes of this can be used to answer a 9 mark question based on the case study. A concise model answer is included for students to peer assess. We finish with a kahoot quiz!

This double lesson introduces learners to the role of financial markets. We start by discussing what money is and the role of money before looking at what a financial market is, with examples of the role they play. Video case studies to give context to the role of financial institutions. We then look at the different types of financial markets such as money, capital and currency markets before understanding bonds in more detail. Some true or false questions, 15 mark case study question with indicative points and a peer assessment grid for students to use. We finish with a box plenary.

This double lesson introduces learners to the concept of specialisation with an emphasis on comparative advantage. We start by looking at what specialisation is with examples of what some countries specialise in. We then look at a basic example of two countries producing two goods to really break down the concept of absolute and comparative advantage in an engaging way. We then look at this could be illustrated on a diagram. Some short answer exam questions for consolidation. We then look at the assumptions this model makes before having a break. We then look at a case study on Brazil, an exam style question with a model answer to peer assess using the marking grid. We finish off with a box plenary.

In this double lesson, learners are introduced to Mary Ainsworth and her collaboration with John Bowlby. We start off by looking at Ainsworth’s aim of her ‘strange situation’ experiment. We then go on to look at the steps or episodes involved in the experiment, before discussing findings and conclusion. Ainsworth strange situation study
This lesson introduces learners to the famous Asch experiment and we start by carrying out the experiment in class as a starter (instructions at the start). After carrying out the study, students can watch the study in action while getting the key information down on aims, method, results and conclusions. We then look at Asch’s extended study which was done 4 years later by Asch on variations that can affect conformity such as group size, unanimity and task difficulty. Some questions to consolidate learning through MCQs and true or false before we look at evaluating Asch’s study. A 4 mark exam style question for students to attempt, model answer provided to compare answers before finishing with a debate and box plenary.

In this double lesson, we look at the influence of early attachment on later relationships, we recap the internal working model as it is relevant. We attempt a ‘love quiz’ by Hazan and Shaver, before looking their study in 1987. A group debate task to collate evidence for their argument, research task, MCQs, video clip, evaluation task, 16 mark exam style question with mark scheme, box plenary and we end with two kahoot quizzes to recap knowledge from the whole attachment unit.

Influence of early attachment on later relationships
In this lesson, learners are introduced to eyewitness testimony with a focus on misleading information.
We start by watching some engaging videos to highlight our weaknesses when observing or eyewitnessing. We then look into factors that influence accuracy of EWT such as leading questions and post event discussion. We replicate Loftus and Palmer’s (1974) study in class by watching the car smash/hit video and asking how fast the cars were travelling before discussing the research. Evaluation task and follow-up discussion, videos, MCQs, true or false questions, 4 mark exam style question with mark scheme, PEEL paragraph practice and we finish with a box plenary.

Eyewitness testimony - misleading information
This free lesson introduces learners to the operations function of business, with a particular focus on job, batch and flow production. Excellent examples such as a wedding dress for job production, videos of each included for good application skills.
3 and 6 mark questions included with model answers to self assess and various other activities to consolidate understanding.
We briefly look at ways to minimise waste (lean production) and JIT which is looked at in further detail in 3.2 The role of procurement.

This set of resources includes 2x ppts, 4x word docs and a number of clips for 2 lessons. Learners are introduces to recruitment and the steps involved (step by step) and students have the opportunity to participate in being interviewed by Lord Sugar (answers by the man himself are given too). Once recruited, we look at what training might need to be delivered and how through on the job vs off the job training, a scenario to highlight the pros and cons of each. A link to a kahoot quiz and a box plenary to finish the first lesson.
In the second practiical lesson, students have the opportunity to participate in the interview process, students are given job descriptions and person specifications for which they should prepare interview answers for. 3 scenarios in total and students will have the opportunity to switch roles to get an experience of both sides.
