Included in this booklet

***Peter and the Wolf | Music Worksheet

This educational resource offers an in-depth exploration of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, a beloved musical symphony for children. Designed for music students and educators, the guide includes thoughtful activities and analysis prompts that enhance the understanding of how Prokofiev uses orchestration to tell a story.
Learners will discover how different instruments represent characters through melody, rhythm, and timbre, with specific sections analyzing contrasts like Peter’s theme (played by strings) and the Wolf’s theme (French horns). The resource also includes questions on the bird’s flute theme transformation and timbral contrasts that enhance narrative storytelling, making it ideal for classroom discussions or individual study.
This guide is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the connection between music and narrative in classical works and would be valuable in educational settings focused on music appreciation, composition, or performance analysis. (music not included, I often use the David Bowie Narrated version on youtube for students)
