This resource involves detailed study notes/class handouts for the following Eras of music: Baroque Romantic Classical Contemporary 20th Century Each resource describes musical features which are distinct to each era (in easy to read bullet point form). Each genre also mentions three composers relevant to each era. With each composer, an example of their music is given, pointing out specific features relevant to each era (Musical Era Sheet preview in cover image) These are great reference points for students to become familiar with earlier genres of music, while learning how to identify features of each era in music pieces they listen to.

They simply fill in every music word they learn that corresponds to each element. e.g in ‘Tempo’ students can write allegro, largo… to build their vocabulary to describe tempo and so on.
