A series of resources including video, animation and whiteboard materials that address the skills, knowledge and understanding of how science works within the GCSE specifications. The unit looks at articles and evidence that relates overhead power cables and national grid pylons to increased cancer rates. Pupils form a group opinion on the advantages and disadvantages of the national grid and use the evidence supplied to support or reject the idea that there is a link between overhead pylons and an increased cancer rate.

This interactive activity allows pupils to investigate simple circuits by dragging circuit components into place to make a working circuit. The activities form an introduction to practical work exploring circuits. Pupils have the opportunity to experiment with switches to control components in order to find out that a circuit will not work if there is a break in it.

A series of interactive digital and paper based resources supporting the teaching of Crime and Deviance. The units deal with the nature and definition of crime and deviance and lead to an open debate as to the nature of social control in our society. The third unit explores labelling theories of criminal behaviour and the final unit encourages learners to think about the value and accuracy of official statistics on crime by exploring the reasons people have for reporting and not reporting crime to the police.
