A short revision lesson on how to deal with the “asking a question” bullet point in the role-play task. This is not a lesson on forming questions but on how to deal with asking questions about specific things. Example- ? fin du film -> Quand est la fin du film? A quelle heure est la fin du film? Objectives: To be able to ask questions about something specific. To develop exam skills. This lesson includes past paper questions and new ones. This should help students to ask questions about something specific: Lesson: 1Starter: Asking questions (guided task) 2.Past papers questions: Identify similarities/ types of questions that come up a lot- Whole class practice with answers 3. Tips on how to deal with each type of questions. 4. More practice with answers. 5. Independent practice (See notes under each slide for more information) Each slide has got a WORD ART “Sample” over it. You can delete it by doing a right click and delete once you have dowloaded the resource.

This lesson is designed for 2 hours (Depending on your group’s ability) It can be used as a whole lesson or activities can be used separately. There is no specific order, use activities as you please. This resource includes a powerpoint and a word document for the speaking activity. !! Remove “Sample” writing by clicking on it and deleting it. !! 13 slides+ word document 1-Differentiated match-up activity to introduce vocab. 2- BRUT video : listening and reading (French subtitles) + 10 key things one can do to save the planet. Objective: to review ON PEUT + INFINITIVES This resource is a lesson based on the Studio vert 3 book- Module 3-Unit2- I used it as a reinforcement lesson to review ON PEUT and develop reading skills. It is mainly a reading activity about learning languages. The powerpoint includes: - a starter- unjumble infinitives (vocab from the book) -a short review on how to use On peut+infinitive - a reading activity : One slide with instructions 2 slides: 1- Football player- a list of reasons why learning a language could be useful for that job. 2- Flight attendant- a list of reasons why learning a language could be useful/beneficial for that job. I have create the reasons myself using vocabulary from the book.

This French test (3xA4 pages) covers KS3 basics that GCSE groups should/must know ( numbers, weather, time, opinions, days of the week, different tenses conjugation, gender agreement, plurals, question words etc…) I find it helpful when getting a new group to see which basics must be reviewed before starting the GCSE course. Score /100 Recommended use: This test can be given at the start of Year 10/Year11 as a baseline assessment. It can be used at the end of Year 9 to check knowledge. I usually give it to my Year 10s at the start of the year and I have them do it at the start of year 11 again. ** Please note that the blue squares are a watermark and can be removed (just select and delete)**

A good 2 hour lesson on the topic of holidays. This was originally made for a top set Year 9 group but could be used for any class studying that topic. To be able to talk about the type of holidays you prefer. (à la mer, à la campagne, en famille, etc..)
