A 92-slide ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 2.4 Que deportes haces? from the Viva 1 textbook. Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to talk about sports, how often and when and why (adjectives). This sub-unit consolidates opinions, days of the week and verb conjugations in the present tense, all covered in modules 2.1 to 2.3. It has, towards the end of the powerpoint, a section dedicated to a wide range of starter activities (odd one out, what’s missing, pyramid translation, evil tiles, find the errors, disappearing text…). It also consolidates the 3 present tense conjugations and introduces stem-changing verbs (including some practise on these). There are differentiated and challenging activities to practise all skills with your students. You will find all materials to teach module 2 in my shop. Please read the notes at the bottom of each slide as i often include instructions on how to conduct an activity or simply the source (there’s a listening from the old AS textbook as well - no problem if you cannot do it as a listening because you dont have access to it, I always include transcripts for these so it can be done as a reading task or you could record yourself).

Two worksheets inspired on the AQA A-level Spanish textbook, Unit 4 La Influencia de los Idolos, but which can be adapted to any textbook. Worksheet 1 contains 5 tweets / instagram posts posted by Hispanic celebrities which contain several grammatical errors, to be spotted by the students. Each post comes with a range of follow up questions based on their post to encourage students to talk in the target language. Great activity for speaking. Worksheet 2 contains a reading I created based on a youtube video with information on the most famous female youtuber in South America: Yuya. It offers follow up questions for discussion, grammar activities, comprehension activities and vocabulary exercises. Bundle also includes a short taboo game with Hispanic celebrities that the students need to describe trying to avoid the taboo words (they are given suggested keywords to support their descriptions).

Viva 3 - Modules 1-4 retrieval practice starters for exam revision These are good to do as starters before a module exam is going to take place, or as revision before end of year exams. PPT contains 4 slides, 1 for module 1 - somos asi; 1 for module 2 - oriéntate; 1 version of module 3 - en forma; and 1 version of module 4 - reciclamos. Please note unit 4.3 is the only unit from module 4 I based this on, as we don’t teach anything else from that module, so if you want to add content from other units, you’ll need to edit the activity. All the other slides include items from each sub-unit within the module, ensuring everything is revisited. Each slide contains 12 questions ranging from very easy - easy - challenging - difficult for students to translate into either language, or come up with a short explanation / phrase. The harder the question, the more points they can take if they get it right. The idea is for them to do it at the back of their book / on a MWB. Answers appear on click. Allow at least 15 minutes of the lesson for it to be done properly.

A translation maze inspired on the language from pages 104 and 105 on the Viva 2 textbook, topic ‘que tipo de casa prefieres?’ (module 5.1). All instructions are on the resource, and should be displayed and explained to students before starting to play. Aim: to find your way out of the maze by shading a path of correct answers. You get out when your path connects the entrance with the exit boxes. If you don’t know this activity it has, in essence, the same principle as a bingo. It takes quite some time to run, as there are 18 different questions/rounds and children get very excited by shading the boxes and counting how many left they need to shade before they get out of the maze! The teacher should then check the answers (all included) of any child claiming to have got out of the maze: note they should be perfect or close to perfect translations to be able to call a winner. If you were to get through the 18 rounds and no one has managed to get out of the maze (unlikely), go back to question 1 and get them to translate the opposite sentence until someone can win. This activity tends to work wonders with any age group and is a nice alternative to bingo. It’s also easily editable - you might find the sentences I’ve used are too challenging for your class. This 30-slide resource includes extra materials to accompany the textbook to teach topic 6.3 el patrimonio musical y su diversidad. You can see what type of activities are included in the preview of the resource (main focus is on flamenco and the imperfect of subjunctive). Lesson I created specifically to get my GCSE students to be able to write and talk about an ideal holiday using the conditional form of verbs, but that could be used with any able year group. Materials included: a detailed lesson plan, ppt presentation with grammar activities + activities to cover all 4 skills plus a pdf differentiated booklet I created to give to the students to help themselves build their language according to their ability.

This resource includes a 72 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 5 (11) group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. That includes the introduction of the perfect tense in this instance. In this topic i do not follow the textbook very closely as due to time limitations I am just covering the main aspects of environment: things we do to protect the environment, and then environmental problems and their solutions, introducing the subjunctive, too. There are a range of activities to do, a lot more than what the textbook offers: extra readings, vocab tests, extra speaking, paragraph ideas, lots of starters and plenaries, printable vocabulary lists, etc. Look at the bottom of each slide to see any notes that might be relevant to understand what to do in a certain activity, extension ideas, etc. This is a breakdown of what you are getting: 1 ppt containing units 4.1 to 4.3 (= ‘Vivimos en Europa’ + ‘Como es tu casa?’ + ‘Las habitaciones’) together = 126 slides. 1 ppt containing unit 4.4 (‘En mi dormitorio’) = 75 slides. 1 ppt containing unit 4.5 (‘Que haces?’) = 58 slides.
