I used this with my class for research purposes, before we created a pop-up non-fiction book.
The children were so inspired that some even made their own pop up book at home!

Botanical themed open-ended maths book for beginning of term, allowing students to show you what they can do.
Ideas for use:
Download matching botanical number cards. Pupils choose two cards to create an addition or subtraction calculation
Counting on in 2s, 5s and 10s etc.
Drawing 2D shapes
Position and direction e.g. 3 squares forward, quarter turn to the right, 6 squares forward…
Fractions (draw a rectangle and see how many ways you can split it into quarters.
Print back to back to make a simple A5 folded booklet.
Phonics activity which involves reading a choice of 4 different suitcase tags to know what to pack (cut and stick).
