A rhetorical question is a question asked in order to create a dramatic effect or to make a point rather than to get an answer. It is a literary device often used to persuade the audience. Pupils examine the personality of Ada and other characters in this differentiated character trait matching exercise. Pupils match the main characters from Children of the Benin Kingdom by Dinah Orji with character traits and evidence from the text.
