AQA Trilogy Quantitative Chemistry

(0)
Covers the AQA Chemistry (Trilogy) specification for Quantitative chemistry. Concentrates on calculations. It includes practice slides throughout the presentation so that the students can practice each calculation as you go through each type. Covers: Ar / Mr / RFM / % mass of an element or compound / Number of moles / Conservation of mass and why the mass actually changes during some reactions / thermal decomposition / how to use moles to calculate mass / how to calculate Empirical formula / limiting reactions and how to calculate concentrations of solutions. After completing the presentation and trial questions there is a revision sheet. For higher groups I actually removed the examples and got them to make the revision card. For those struggling I gave the revision sheet as it is.

KS3 / GCSE Graph Rules & Rules for Drawing a Good Scientific Table & Helpsheets

(0)
These power points were made for my KS3 students but I also used it with my GCSE foundation students to help them understand how to draw a correct scientific Table and when to use a bar graph and when to use a line graph. It also explains the difference between independent and dependent variables. These power points explains how to compose a Good Table (headings, columns, anomalies, averages) and how to plot the correct graph. It concentrates on bar graphs and line graphs, independent and dependent variables. Actual examples shown and finishes with a task for the students as a plenary. Also included are help sheets for table and graph drawing which can be stuck in the front of students books as a reminder. (I print both and print as A5 help sheets.
