This Christmas themed worksheets resource relates to money using the 1p, 5p, 10p, 20p coins and for the more able students 50p, £1 and £2 coins. ANSWERS provided New £1 coin Includes worksheet on receiving change from £2.00 Can use as assessment and revision. Aimed: Keystage 1/Lower Keystage 2, SEND and ESL Students learning about English coins. File Type: Word and pdf. Set in the context of a Christmas Fayre -Children work out how much change they would receive if they were to buy the items on the Christmas stall. Please note it is a two-step process whereby children use their observational skill to look for the price of each item and then work out the change from each coin. They look at the prices of the Christmas items and then work out the change. They can use any method -e.g. number lines, hundred square, counting from/back - check to ensure they are using money symbols. This practical resource contains cut and paste worksheets of 29 onset/rime words. **The worksheets are differentiated. There are 29 worksheets in each set. ** Onset and Rime 1 Worksheets - The cut/paste activity is in two parts. The student cuts out, sorts and then sticks each letter in the correct order to spell what the picture is. The second part is to write in the gap to complete the sentence using the rhyming words they have cut out and glued beneath the pictures in the first part of the activity. **This resource relates to repeated addition and arrays to visualize multiplication. ** Aimed at: Year 1/2 and Lower Keystage 2, and SEND. PowerPoint Presentation (24 Slides) contains: Illustration and explanation of arrays (rows and columns) How we read the arrays What is repeated addition and how it is written (2 + 2 + 2 = 3 lots of 2 = 2 x 3), i.e 2 repeated 3 times. Whole class activity on describing an array on their whiteboards There are 3 worksheets:- Activity 1 (2 pages) - Children write repeated additions for the arrays shown. Children that require support with the activities can write one repeated addition e.g. 2 + 2 + 2 whereas a more able child will be able to write two addition models: 2 + 2 + 2 and 3 + 3. Activity 2 (2 pages) - (Extension) Same as above but the arrays are larger. There is a small section on the worksheets where it asks children to show 3 lots of 4 and then circle the groups. Activity 3 (8 pages)- Cut and Paste activity - The activity involves children cutting out buttons and arranging them in an array according to what is asked in the boxes: e.g. 5 x 2, so the student cuts out 2 lots of 5 buttons (10) and form them in an array, e.g. 5 buttons in a row and 2 columns. This single phonics pack focuses on initial consonant blend ‘pl’ CCVC words. As with the other consonant blends packs: it is child-centred child-friendly and a step up from CVC and CCV to Phase 4: Letters and Sounds Phonics. Aimed at: Early Years and keystage 1, SEND and ESL/EFL students. It is an addition to my other resources on initial consonant blends. This pack contains: Flexible Lesson Plan with learning objectives, lesson starter, main activities and plenary - You can choose which parts are relevant to your class. Once they have made word, the students draw a picture to go with the word because two words can be made with be__ , i.e. best or bend. Both are correct as they are real words. • Colouring activity – Which Word? (3 worksheets) Students sound out the word that goes with the picture in the centre and then colour the correct word that goes with the picture. As an extension activity, on a separate sheet, students can write a sentence with the words that are not coloured in. • Differentiated Cut and paste activities (4 worksheets) The first set of worksheets do not contain pictures. Students cut out the ending blends and match it to the correct starting letters to make a word. When they have made a word, they write out the word neatly on the handwriting lines. Some of your students may need pictures to help them join the ending blends to the letters to make a word. Content: • Teacher’s notes • 2 Sets of Aa-Zz puzzle pieces – Cut/paste • Aa-Zz -Matching letters of the alphabet to pictures • Aa-Zz - Tracing over letters and matching to pictures Description Cut and Paste to match Puzzle pieces Place a selection of Aa – Zz puzzle sheets on tables for children to cut out and match upper and lower case letters and stick into workbook or on a separate sheet of paper. They can trace inside the letters with different colour pencils (rainbow tracing). For the capital letter part of the puzzle ask children to write words beginning with capital letters such as their name if it begins with that letter, a city, day or month, a place of interest etc and draw pictures. For the lower case part of the puzzle, ask children to write and draw things beginning with that letter that does not always begin with a capital letter. Please see sample preview in preview pane. Matching letters to pictures and colour activity ‘Aa is for’ to ‘Zz is for’ activity – tell children they need to colour in the picture that begins with that letter and not to colour in the other pictures. I have uploaded two sets of lower case letters a to z to be printed onto card paper and laminate. A lovely addition to your Alphabet/Phonic station. Aimed at EYFS/Year 1, EFL/ESL students Children practise moulding dough on top of the letters with dough/ plasticine. Children practise writing inside the letters with different colour drywipe pens. Print out as many times as you like - children can draw pictures beginning with the name of the letters. Opportunity to use as a teaching resource showing children how to form lower case letters. There are two sets which you can laminate for use with drywipe pens or you use as worksheets. Two different lower case 'k’s are used.
