This bundle contains 13 lessons needed to teach the first key topic for the new GCSE Migrants in Britain Breadth Study. There is one lesson each on the causes of migration; the experiences of migrants and the impact of migrants based on Vikings; Normans; Jews and European migrants. There is also a lesson on the Case Study, York under the Vikings for key topic 1.
Each lesson is an hour long (Case Study 2 hours), and contains all of the knowledge and skills needed for success at GCSE. The activities are varied and focused mainly on AOs 1 and 2 as required by this part of the unit. However there are also some elements of AO3 and 4 as skills practice.
Based on Pearson text book, however created and resourced in a way that no text book is needed.
This bundle also contains a 79 page workbook (space for answers included) which is aimed at helping students understand the assessment requirements for the new EDEXCEL Migrants in Britain breadth study.

Instructions on how to answer each question type with explanations of the AOs and how to gain the marks for each
A sample answer for each question-type with commentary on where the marks are gained

This can be used as a single document to keep all assessments together and it addresses the lack of sample questions available for the new option. It can also be used as evidence for predicted grades (or TAGs if that becomes necessary).
Printing costs can be reduced by either sharing with students online, or by removing the pages for writing and asking students to write the answers in their books.
This lesson is the second lesson for KT2 for the new GCSE breadth study - Migrants in Britain, and it analyses the causes of migration in the Early Modern Era, with a focus on the Jews.

This is the 9th lesson for Key Topic 2, A level democracies and dictatorships in Germany. It focuses on the work of Goebbels and the extent of his power. It asks students to compare the power of Goebbels with the power of Himmler and to reach conclusions. It also focuses on the relative success of the 1936 Berlin Olympics for GermanyThe powerpoint contains all of the resources, however a text book is useful. Tasks focus mainly on interpretations of history.

This resource doubles up as an assembly and/or a lesson suitable for Bastille day 2024. The assembly is contained in the first part of the power point and looks at the Bastille day celebrations through the use of clips; images and information, and links it to the story of the French Revolution. It takes between 20 and 30 minutes to deliver.
The assembly could also be used as an introduction to a lesson on the French Revolution, and the second part of the power point contains a lesson about the causes of the French Revolution using source materials and an extended writing task.

This key stage 3 unit of work is based on the enquiry - Two wars or one with a 20 years ceasefire? It consists of 12 lessons and requires students to think about whether or not the First World War was ever concluded. It examines all second order concepts, but it is primarily based on being able to demonstrate cause and consequence. All lessons are fully resourced.
