GCSE SUPERPOWER RELATIONS AND THE COLD WAR LESSON 27. THE COLLAPSE OF THE SOVIET UNON
This is the TWENTY-SEVENTH and final lesson for the EDEXCEL GCSE Super Power Relations and the Cold War which examines the collapse of the Soviet Union.
It contains various tasks and examination practice with modeled answers necessary for success at this level. Everything is included within the power point and no text book is needed.
There is an assessment available for the next lesson.
KEY STAGE 3 THE SHORT TERM CAUSE OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR
This lesson is the 2nd in a series of two lessons investigating the causes of the First World War. The focus of this lesson is the short-term cause (the spark). It links the long-term causes to the shooting of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and is assessed through the use of sharing assessment criteria and peer assessment.

This lesson is the first in a short unit of work prepared for key stages 2 and 3 to celebrate Black History Month. The lesson introduces students to the slave trade, and contains numerous tasks including the chronology of the triangular trade and making inferences from sources. A LEVEL DEMOCRACY AND DICTATORSHIPS IN GERMANY LESSON 15. WERE 1924-28 GOLDEN YEARS?
This is the fifteenth lesson on the A level democracy and dictatorships in Germany A Level Unit, and focuses on evaluating the Stresemann era in terms of whether the title ‘Golden Era’ can be justified. It contains research activities; examination question practice and clips to support learning. This lesson provides the opportunity to evaluate the whole of this period.
This lesson takes an hour to teach, but students will have to complete significant home learning to finish all of the activities.

This lesson continues the investigation into whether or not there was a Mid Tudor Crisis. It focuses on comparing the protectorates of Somerset and Northumberland. It considers a variety of interpretations and sources and contains a range of investigative material and links to useful documenies. It can be used for all examination boards and is designed so that any examination board approved text book can be used to complete the activities.

A LEVEL MID TUDOR CRISIS. LESSON 7 THE KETT AND WESTERN REBELLIONS
This lesson continues the investigation into whether or not there was a Mid Tudor Crisis. It focuses on the analysis of the Kett and Western Rebellions, comparing them and evaluating how dangerous the year 1549 was for Edward VI. It contains a range of investigative material and considers both contemporary source material and interpretations of the rebellions. Students will be looking for more evidence to suggest whether or not there was a mid-Tudor crisis.
Students will learn about:
The causes of the Kett and Western Rebellions
The extent to which they posed a danger to Edward VI
Duration:
This is a long lesson and will probably require 2 hours to teach it, plus an hour of home learning to complete all of the activities. It can be used for all examination boards and is designed so that any examination board approved text book can be used to complete the activities.

GCSE 9-1 MIGRANTS IN BRITAIN - THE EXPERIENCES OF THE VIKINGS
This lesson is the first of four looking at the experiences of migrants in Medieval England.
This lesson focuses on Viking migration and involves work with chronology; creating a time line and identifying the key turning points. Students will also use a poem to make a judgment about the determination of the Viking settlers
