This lesson is the 2nd in a series of two lessons investigating the causes of the First World War. The focus of this lesson is the short-term cause (the spark). This is the fifteenth lesson on the A level democracy and dictatorships in Germany A Level Unit, and focuses on evaluating the Stresemann era in terms of whether the title ‘Golden Era’ can be justified. It contains research activities; examination question practice and clips to support learning. This lesson provides the opportunity to evaluate the whole of this period. This lesson takes an hour to teach, but students will have to complete significant home learning to finish all of the activities.
