Dont’t know if you’ve felt the same but my year 11 students really struggled to grasp punnett squares through a couple of worked examples so I designed a booklet solely focused on punnett square PPQ’s with some very challenging questions.
As always total marks /21, not too short or too long to take up an entire lesson. A marking grid has also been included.
Contains a range of short and longer answer questions also requires students to interpret diagrams. This is a great piece of homework or mini class test, that can allow you to determine whether your students have understood the topic. I’ve attached the mark scheme separately as it’s a great self/peer-assessed activity (reduce the marking load).
Can you remember the excitement when you were finally able to switch your HB pencil for that Berol handwriting pen? I can, but as adults we’ve forgotten how this was once a precious moment.
Reward your students with this cool pen licence certificate. A pen licence is a formal acknowledgement by a teacher in class, granting the student permission to use a pen once their handwriting is accepted to be of a good standard.
I have uploaded a PDF and an editable version.

environmental impact of products in each of these stages:
•• extracting and processing raw materials
•• manufacturing and packaging
•• use and operation during its lifetime
•• disposal at the end of its useful life, including transport and
distribution at each stage.
Use of water, resources, energy sources and production of some wastes can be fairly easily quantified. Allocating numerical values to pollutant effects is less straightforward and requires value judgements, so LCA is not a purely objective process. Selective or abbreviated LCAs can be devised to evaluate a product but these can be misused to reach pre-determined conclusions, eg in support of claims for advertising purposes.
Students should be able to carry out simple comparative LCAs for shopping bags made from plastic and paper.
