This resource tells the story of the birth of Jesus - the Christmas story. There is a PowerPoint presentation (34 Slides) and worksheets.

Here are some additional worksheets on numbers and number words.
A lovely addition to Numbers/Number Words 1 and 2.
Number word to number match up Worksheets (x5) - Children draw a line from a number word to match up to its numeral. Each worksheet gets harder.
Counting worksheets (x4) - Each ten frames shows different number of dots which the children count and write in words in the space provided.
Double Ten Frames Read and Draw worksheets (x3)- Teen numbers up to 20. Children read the number words and then draw the same number of dots.
One more/one less worksheets (x5) - Children read the numbers in words and then write in words one less and one more on either side of the number word. In addition, two of the worksheets have a missing letters activity. Children insert the missing letters in the number words.
Doubles worksheets (x3); and
Writng doubles number sentences worksheets (x5) - Each box contains robots which the children count. They write the number in figures and in words. Then they double the number and write in figures and words. The worksheets are differentiated in that some children may be able to write doubles number sentences. This is a reading comprehension with questions and activities relating to 6 year old Ruby Bridges who was the first African American to go to an all-white school in New Orleans. Her brave action paved the way for integration in schools. Topic can be used in Black history and Women’s history months.
It can be used in guided reading.
The story can be read aloud to the class.
Content:
Story of Ruby Bridges with colour and b/w pictures. The paragraphs are set out clearly with common sight words.
Two question sheets with Answers. One sheet has 4 questions with handwriting guide lines. The other sheet has 5 questions which includes a short writing activity.
Word work includes finding sight words and circling them; find words that rhyme; counting syllables; and ticking adjectives to describe Ruby.
Cloze/Missing word activity - There are six sentences with missing words. Children reread story and insert the missing words. There is a word bank to help them.

This resource relates to mixed consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) phonic word work. There are 2 sets of worksheets which you can use to add to your work on CVC words. There is cut and paste and writing. The two sets of worksheet activities are:

PowerPoint Presentation

Slides 2 – 11: As you play each slide number cards will appear with the correct number of cars. As the cars appear, students can count aloud.
Slides 12 – 21: The numbered cards and number words will appear. When you display a card, you can ask students to show the number with their fingers.
Slides 22 – 41: Students count how many cards in the red toy box and then the answer will appear on the card.
Cut and glue matching up numbered cars
The cards are numbered 1 to 10 on the worksheets. Students have to cut out another set of cars numbered 1 to 10 and glue the cars with the same number opposite the cars on the worksheet. They should colour the matching numbers the same colour.
Counting toy cars
The toy boxes contain different number of cars. Students should carefully count the cars and write the total number in the blank box. They can then colour in. Some may prefer to colour and count at the same time.
Cut and glue activity (Colour and black and white)
There are toy boxes with the number of cars shown at the front. Students should cut out the same number of cars shown and glue the correct number onto the toy boxes.
Ten Frames – Count and Write
Students count and colour the number cards on the ten frames and then write the number in the circle.
Counting cars using a number track
Students count the number cars above the number track and then shade in the numbered square that represents the number cars counted.
Count and Match Cards/Flash cards
There are four sets of cards in black and white, purple, blue and yellow. Numerals are on one set and number words on the other set. These cards look great laminated and cut out ready for teaching.

This product contains 34 CVC word searches with solutions. There is one word for each grid which are written in 5 directions. Each word search shows an arrow pointing in the direction of the CVC word.
Looking for 5 or more words in a word search can be a little daunting for some learners and so these mini words are a fun way to find and read decodable words.

This resource relates to Canadian currency - nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars (loonies).
The worksheets are in colour and black and white.
WITH ANSWER SHEETS
Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school supplies/stationery.
Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost.
Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money?
Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school supplies cost.
Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less do the crayons cost than the ruler?
The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10c.
Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 20c. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price.
Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 5 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought (subtraction)
**Additional worksheets: **
Drawing coins to match the price tags - Students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can.
Add coins and write the total on the price tag for each object shown.
Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent.
