DIFFERENT TYPES OF STAGING POWERPOINT
This is a 14 page PowerPoint Presentation on the different types of theatrical staging configerations.
It includes: staging type description, image, advantages and disadvantages.
I used this with a P16 SEN group but would easily be applicable for GCSE students as well as Upper Primary.
To culminate learning there is a short ‘Design a Poster’ activity.
*Extension: In the past I have asked students to create a ‘shoe box’ theatre. This works particularly well if classes have been reading a play. I then ask them to become set designers where they choose a stage type and create their designs using the shoe boxes. *
