Part of a series to prepare students for the BTEC IT Unit 6 Assignment B&C, based on the knowledge I’ve built up running the course This unit of work uses RocketCake in order for students to produce their website, however lessons some of the practical lessons may also be useful if other methods of website production are being used This lesson aims to teach students about how to prepare their website for SEO; add image galleries/slideshows; videos, PDFs and Google Maps. This lesson includes: demonstration (with videos/animations) and then tasks for them to practice plus a tick sheet to ensure they have complete all the sub-tasks Assets provided to save time in lesson and RCD files for the teacher to give an example of the completed tasks Challenge built into some of the slides/tasks Not all parts of the resource are shown in previews RocketCake Professional Edition required for some parts of the lesson (this is a relatively inexpensive upgrade for schools)

Booklet containing keywords relevant to creating a website using RocketCake software and a space for students to complete their own notes/definitions Please note: this booklet is divided by topics which reflect how we split up the teaching of Rocketcake in the lessons Please note: The booklet was made when I was using version 3.3 (free, not professional) but I also used it to teach RocketCake 4 due to few changes in the software.
