Teacher Planner - For Secondary School Teachers
I decided to make my own teacher binder this year as I am tired of having a binder that doesn't fully fit what I want.
In my binder, you will receive PDF and PowerPoint versions of each of the following sections, as well as a combined version of the whole thing. I have given it this way as there are times when I prefer each of these options when buying resources, so it seemed only fair to offer all of them. You can edit the PowerPoint version, and I would recommend using Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 or newer.
The sections included are:
> Day to Page planner
> Week to 2 pages planner
> Yearly Calendar on 2 pages (September to August)
> Yearly Calendar Month to Page
> Class Information (includes class list with key details, photos page, seating plan, attendance sheet, marks sheet)
> Home Contact Record
> One Page Lesson Plan
This bundle will be added to as and when I add to my planner. It will based on how I decide to use the planner, and what I find needs to be added or changed during the year. I will also use your feedback to make changes, so if you have any comments please let me know and I will do my best to update.
Story Planning Flip Book
This flip book was designed for me to encourage reluctant writers to plan their stories before writing. It contains flaps for title ideas, characters, setting, problem, other events and solution.
Each section should be cut out and then glued or stapled together to make the flip book.
Scientific Notation (Standard Form) Guided Notes and Interactive Notebook Page
This file contains a guided notes page for standard form, which includes what it looks like and how to convert to and from it.
There is then a flip book which can be used to provide worked examples for students to use when revising.
Back To School Budgeting Project
This task is designed to practice budgeting skills in Year 4, 5 or 6, or even at the start of Year 7 as a Back to School project. There are two options for the tasks, page 6 is a general version, and page 7 is an alternative that could be used at the end of Year 6 when discussing starting high school.
Students will need to be provided with either store catalogues which feature the items required or access to the internet to get prices from store websites.
I have given students free reign here in how to record their work, but you may wish to give them a template to follow, or some examples.
No grading rubric has been attached due to the open nature of the task and the range of students it could apply to, but there is a brief mention to students of how they will be graded on page 9, which should help you start a grading rubric specific to your class.
I have given the product as a PowerPoint file so that the shopping list can be edited, but I have included printing instructions from a PDF file as this is the easiest way to print. PowerPoint files can be exported to PDF through Microsoft PowerPoint.
