This quiz took about 10 hours of my life (that I will never get back!) to make but the students loved it- just the right balance of inappropriate to be funny but still all related to the Tudor Court, rebellions and key individuals. It is mainly a music quiz with some of the rebels, Tudor characters and noblemen being represented in song lyrics…in other cases the rebellions are represented by the song. There is a round on Tudor swear words and other random trivia. Answer sheet attached- slides plus answer sheet should be self explanatory but if you need anything explaining further email me- lasts about an hour and a half including marking and going through answers- I don’t play the whole songs- just the relevant extracts.

This is a long/ detailed lesson on Anglo Saxon society. Includes information about the Anglo Saxon Church, Trade, Festivals and the differences between villages and Burhs/ Towns. Local government- Shire Reeves etc Also includes detailed activities on Crime and Punishment- the Hue and Cry and Trials by Fire etc. Match up Crime to punishment Also a retrieval pyramid on Anglo Saxon England so far. Very detailed and comprehensive resources, all information included- no textbook needed. Also includes analysis and evaluation tasks and critical thinking.

OCR Alevel Tudor Rebellions -The Tyrone Rebellion Irish History the 9 Years War Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors 1485-1603 This is a depth study and requires lots of detail for the exam as it will be used for an interpretation on one of the key themes -This lesson examines how threatening the Tyrone Rebellion Students use the timeline and all their notes so far to explain threat posed to the government and make a threat “blob” diagram Then work through the slides- includes retrieval practice of content from my previous lessons on causes and nature of the rebellion. Edexcel Government and Politics ALevel lesson 1 Intro and Democracy First lesson in the Democracy topic for the Edexcel board but could be used for AQA and OCR too.
