This is a good speaking activity when students are first introducted to the preterite tense. Students will use 20 regular verbs (combination of -ar, -er, and -ir) to form questions and interview a partner with the guidelines below. Combine elements from columns A, B, C, D and add additional words to form questions and interview your classmate(s). All questions must have a different subject and a different keyword. NOTE: You must conjugate the verb. Questions should be yes or no type and can be about anyone or anything. EXAMPLE: ¿Hablaste tú con tu amigo en la clase ayer? Answer: Sí, Yo hablé con mi amigo en la clase ayer / No, Yo no hablé con mi amigo en la clase ayer On page 2, there are lines if teachers want to have students write their questions prior to practicing them orally.
