A LEADING exam board has been given a clean bill of health by the Government’s watchdog. The Assessment and Qualifications Alliance was praised for delivering “good quality assurance, monitoring and the phased implementation of changes to the computer system”. The audit was published two weeks after a damning review of beleaguered awarding body Edexcel. However, AQA was told to improve its recruitment of examiners rather than depend on the goodwill of experienced examining staff at peak times.
