It’s good to see a teacher getting a billing at the Edinburgh Book Festival. But perhaps Angus Council doesn’t agree.
Bill Duncan, a teacher in one of the authority’s schools (which cannot be named for entirely non-legal reasons), produced a book a couple of years ago called The Smiling School for Calvinists. Duncan received an award and did a book reading - which turned out to be very altruistic of him since his salary was docked to pay for a supply teacher.
At the time, Angus schools were running an initiative called “Celebrating Success”.
