Colleges will receive home-testing kits from September, education secretary Gavin Williamson has said.
Speaking at a government press conference this evening, Mr Williamson said that staff and students could currently be tested for the coronavirus at a centre if they developed symptoms.
He said: “If anyone in a nursery, school or college develops Covid-19 symptoms, they can already be tested. But from September we are going to give all schools and colleges a limited number of home-testing kits to give to any children or staff who can’t get to a testing centre.”
