Sharp Electronics has created a calculator equipped with a unique function that provides a programme of 25, 50 or 100 questions which the pupil can select themselves, according to ability or preference.
Students can practise their times tables up to 12x12, and a random calculation mode tests the pupil’s ability to think on the spot. The “correct answer” function also allows the child to view a right answer if they find the calculation too difficult, without affecting their overall score.
In order to monitor progress and results, the calculator displays the success rate as a percentage on the screen.
