“You can achieve far more as a teacher than as an MP,” says Genevieve Fay (“Think inside the ballot box”, November 24). I hope so. I was an MP for eight years and am now (at the age of 52) a beginning teacher, currently on my first school placement, in London. So far I am having a terrifically stimulating time, and I have never done a job that is as creative as this one. Wish me well.
