The bunting is up, scones are baked (or bought) and the Meghan and Harry masks are out in full force as schools across the country celebrate tomorrow’s royal wedding.
Some schools are keeping it traditional with a playground tea party, with guests arriving in either patriotic red, white and blue, or as princesses and princes. Whilst other pupils are off to church to witness their classmates get “married”, as several miniature “weddings” are celebrated today.
Kensington Palace announced earlier this month that some lucky school children from Windsor are amongst the 2,640 people who will be welcomed into the grounds of the castle to gaze in awe at the newlyweds.
But for everyone else, enjoying a glass of squash, a ham and cucumber sandwich (or five) whilst sat outside in the sunshine, with Sats a thing of the past - at least for another year - is a royally good way to spend an afternoon.
