A Cycle to School campaign was launched this week at the Glasgow Gaelic School, with a demonstration of skills by the Riderz stunt cycling team. The team is touring schools in Orkney, Moray, Edinburgh, Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire to encourage pupils and their families to get on their bikes. The aim of the six-week drive is to promote cycle-friendly zones around schools and develop children’s confidence, self-reliance, critical judgment and risk assessment of situations.
