Around 17,000 more lateral flow Covid tests were taken in colleges and 16-19 schools in the past week - but positive results dropped by 3 per cent, Tes analysis of Department of Health and Social Care data reveals.
In the seven-day period beginning 8 April, 152,627 Covid lateral flow tests were conducted in these institutions - of these, 147 were positive.
That period covered the Easter holidays for many colleges in England - but there were around 17,000 more tests conducted overall, compared to the previous seven days.
Previous analysis from Tes found that in the week beginning 1 April,135,591 Covid lateral flow tests were conducted in these institutions - of these, 152 were positive.
