Independent education provider Dukes Education has expanded its group of schools to include Verita International School in Bucharest.
Verita, founded in 1982, is an all-through school that operates from three locations in Bucharest and has more than 600 students. It adds to Dukes Education’s global presence, joining schools in the UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, Czech Republic, Croatia and Greece.
The partnership with Dukes Education aims to give Verita’s community opportunities for student and teacher exchanges, as well as a platform for sharing best practice on an international scale.
Verita’s leadership and operational frameworks will remain unchanged, with founder Richard Joannides and his senior leadership team continuing to have central roles.
Mr Joannides said: “Joining this prestigious educational group is a very significant moment for Verita and our partnership marks a pivotal step forward in our mission to continually elevate the quality of education we offer. We look forward to the positive changes this will bring to our students’ educational experiences.”
Aatif Hassan, founder and chairman of Dukes Education, said: “Verita’s focus on learning through inquiry, emotional intelligence and self-mastery accords strongly with our values, and Verita’s well-developed programmes in these areas will provide new opportunities to share learning across Dukes.”
