Have We Found The School With The Most Picturesque Setting?

I saw a tweet this week about a Western Isles school looking for a new headteacher, complete with a picture of its beautiful backdrop.

On a whim, I then tweeted to ask what school had the most scenic backdrop - and was inundated with replies.

Here are some of the stunning pictures that came back and, below all those, the original tweet about Sir E Scott School on the Isle of Harris searching for a new head, which inspired the whole thread.

Did my probation year in Elgol Primary. Ticked the box and ended up there. Was a great year- lovely community and an unbeatable view! pic.twitter.com/biuRIVCEPC

Everyone on this thread: look how nice our hill is.

Me, working at Farr High School: cute. Check our 2 beaches, beautiful hills, distant Bens and sheep cutting about on the road in a tiny town steeped in Highland Clearance History.

I think the rurals are winning this. https://t.co/hw5QiyEk7p pic.twitter.com/VctUVr1pbk

If we stretch the definition of a school to include Outdoor Education Centres (learning that lasts for a lifetime!) then @ArdroyOEC in @lomondtrossachs will happily take the prize. This is my office.... @SAPOE_org - want to join in the debate? pic.twitter.com/VtFysxpd8O
